About Us / Bailey's Fresh off the Farm History: We are a small family farm that began several years ago raising pastured poultry. In 2005 we were able to sell 1000 chickens at the Muskegon Farmers Market as well as some at the Grand Haven Farmers Market. We have had great customer satisfaction and many weekly repeat customers. All of our chicks are delivered to us at 1 day old and are given no vaccinations. They are kept in a brooder for 3 weeks and then put in moveable pens that are capable of holding 100 chickens, although we only put 75 in at maximum. Our pens are moved daily to allow the birds fresh grass, sunshine and bugs. Our chickens are never given steroids or antibiotic, nor any other chemical. They are fed a ration, mixed locally, which contains no animal by product and is enriched with Fertrell's minerals which strenghten the chickens leg bone preventing weak legs and adding additional minerals to the meat.We also raise Boer cross goats to sell for meat or milk. We sell goat milk for pet consumption and sell brown eggs from our range hens. We also raise and sell rabbit, duck, and will be trying turkey this year. We take orders for pick up at the market or from our farm from 12-8pm on Friday's May - October.
