About Us / Bleyenberg's Fresh Farm Eggs History: Our Chickens are laying really well right now, we have a lot in stock. Also next month we will have live stewing hens available for those who want to butcher.:)We raise our chicks from just a few days old in an insulated coop to keep them warm during those early weeks. They are fed an all natural and antibiotic free feed. At about 6 weeks they are let outside to enjoy the sun and fresh air. Once they are of laying age, which is around 14 weeks they are moved to the chicken barn where they are allowed to free range for 6-8 hours a day. They are also fed a natural feed which helps them get the amount of calcium needed to lay strong shelled eggs. The eggs are gathered, washed, and packaged daily so we have a supply ready for when you come to buy them. The yolks are a deep yellow to orange color because of the food the chicken finds in her natural setting. These eggs are great for baking; they make the cakes fluffier and merangues stiffer. They also are really good for making egg salad, deviled eggs, and frying them in a pan for breakfast. Stop on by and we will be ready for you. We are open whenever it is daylight except for Sundays.
