About Us / Blue Marble Farm History:
Fresh from the Farm to you! We grow a wide variety of produce on a little over an acre. We enjoy the challenge of growing heirloom tomatoes in Potter County's short growing season. We grow with respect for the environment and the natural harvest cycles. In 2005 we started selling vegetables at a farmers market in Genesee. In 2007 we added Vegetables on Demand, a week by week program. In 2008 we named our farm Blue Marble Farm. We decided on that name because our farm is on this big blue marble that we call the earth. Also in 2008 we started our CSA (Community Supported Agriculture). In 2010 we joined the Wellsville Farmers' Market in Wellsville, NY. In 2012 we joined the Alfred Farmers Market. We have learned a lot over the years from our successes and failures. We are enjoying our journey and plan to continue to grow. Someday we hope to add a certified kitchen and greenhouse.
