Blueberry bushes grow over 6 feet tall and produce large quantities of sweet, nutritious fruit. This is one of the best foods to fight against cancer, and they taste so delicious. Plant them now and have berries to enjoy next spring. Useas a hedge or as ornamental bushes in smaller areas. Beautiful little flowers in the spring followed by your blueberry crop and then red leaves in the fall. We have a nice variety of Southern and Northern High bush plants, Sharp, Misty, Dukes, Nelsons and O??¢ï¿½??Neals. Each plant, when mature will produce 10 to 20 pounds of berries. It is recommended to buy 2 for each member of the family.Blueberries require a soil pH of 4.5 to 5.4 for best growth (this is generally more acidic than most gardens or lawns). If the initial pH is above 6.0, growing blueberries will be difficult unless you mix a lot of peat moss or milled pine bark into the soil. If your soil pH is in the range of 5.5 to 6.0, sulfur can be applied six months before planting to lower the pH. We will be glad to instruct you on the care and maintenance so you may enjoy your plants for years.
