About Us / Boothby's Orchard History: Our farm is comprised several acres of vegetables and a seven acre orchard with over 3000 trees which has the luxurious feel of a vineyard. Featuring dwarf apple trees grown on a wire trellis system (espalier), grounds that are even and mowed and apples that grow low to the ground, our orchard allows the youngest of children and those with physical disabilities to enjoy picking their own apples. This type of orchard also allows us to optimize our IPM managment practices to minimize environmental impact. The secluded orchard sits in a wonderful, solar location surrounded by family land, forest and fields that serve as a refuge to whitetail deer, wild geese, turkeys, ring-neck pheasants. The orchard is nestled on the shore of a large farm pond, home to loons, beaver, otter, herons, turtles, and a multitude of other wildlife.
