About Us / Friends Farm History: Friends Farm is a small family farm near Altoona and Huntingdon Pa. We use natural and sustainable methods to grow a wide variety of vegetables and fruits, eggs, meats and even honey bees. We have found it unnecessary to become certified organic as we sell everything we grow directly to our customers. We use no synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides on our crops, and our animals are raised on pasture using antibiotics only when absolutely necessary.We offer our products for sale through a CSA or vegetable subscription service, CSA in 2013 will be 4 separate seasons May through Feb(2014). Our on farm market is open every Saturday 9am -3pm year round.Our local foods market has raw milk and cheese,honey, maple syrup,jams, and fresh baked breads,cookies and muffins. The produce is harvested fresh early on Saturday morning.Come early for the best selection.
