About Us / Garlic Devas of Westview Farm History: I have been a NOFA (Northeast Organic Farming Association) member for many years, and grow everything following organic standards. For the 2013 growing season, garlic is the main crop. I grow Music, German Red and Artichoke Red, a soft-necked garlic for braiding. For the third year in a row, we had no signs of any garlic nematodes or the moth damage that has been in the news. All bulbs are hand inspected by me at the time of harvest, and again before shipping. The garlic is harvested mid-July, and dries for at least 6 weeks. Garlic will be available in September, up until supplies run out, for seed and culinary use. I would also like to point customers to my favorite source of grass-fed meats. What goes together better than garlic and beef, lamb or pork? Check out the wonderful offerings from the Barton family at Eight O'Clock Ranch. They are listed here at USDA!
