About Us / Happy Valley Farm History: Updated October 21st, 2013... The last of our raspberries have then picked, and we are closing the berry field for the winter! Honey is available year-round. We anticipate opening in early May, 2014, for strawberry and asparagus picking, mark your calendars! Thank you all for a wonderful, fun year! We've posted some photographs on our Facebook page, so be sure to go 'like' it! We are happy to report that most of the 3600 new blueberry plants survived the drought last summer, and flourished with this year's precipitation! Here's a little about us: We sit in a beautiful valley on the western edge of Johnson County, Kansas, and for the last few years have grown berries of all kinds. We have a "pick-your-own" berry operation from late spring until the first frost in the fall. We planted more blueberry bushes in late April, 2012. We've added honey to our products, collected from our hives and sold right here on the farm. We also have a Facebook page for Happy Valley Farm, De Soto, KS, so look us up!We are a small, family owned and operated farm, and are happy to be providing ourselves and our extended family and friends delicious food grown locally. Because we are not a large farm (yet), we must operate by appointment only. The appointments allow us to make sure we have fruit here for you when you visit the farm. Thank you again for supporting your local farm families!
