About Us / Lakeview Farm LLC History: Lakeview Farm is located in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, about 50 miles north of Tulsa and 20 miles from the Kansas border to the north. Farmers Chellie Bea and Mark Erhardt raise a flock of Animal Welfare Approved laying hens, consisting primarily of Barred Rock, Australorp, and Rhode Island Red breeds, which lay brown shelled eggs, as well as a small number of Araucanas, which lay green shelled eggs.\nThe "Ladies of Lakeview," as Chellie and Mark call their layers, are truly pasture-raised. Mark explains that they allow the hens to “strut their stuff along the lake edge or across the plains of native grasses on the farm.” Chellie and Mark supplement the rich and varied diet that the birds gain from the pasture with a balanced chicken feed, which does not contain any antibiotics or animal by-products.\nThe chicken coops at Lakeview Farm were custom-designed to provide excellent ventilation and ample space. The coops are moved regularly so that hens always have access to fresh pasture, while the fields are able to benefit from the nitrogen-rich fertilizer the birds leave behind. \nLakeview Farm’s pastured eggs are available throughout the state of Oklahoma through the Oklahoma Food Cooperative.
