Community Supported Agriculture Program - Long Hill Orchard in West Newbury is accepting new shareholders for the upcoming 2012 growing season. Last season was a great success and we look forward again to providing you with freshly harvested, chemical and pesticide free produce in exchange for your support of our sustainable growing methods. The shares include weekly pickups of produce at Long Hill, as well as Pick-Your-Own vegetables, herbs, and flowers on the farm. The harvest season will run for approximately 22 distribution weeks, from June to October. Shareholders will receive a wide variety of organically-grown produce. Shareholders are also invited to enjoy the open space of our 150 acre farm for hiking, dog walking, picnics, etc.The benefits of a CSA partnership between the consumer and the grower is the high quality organic produce, maintaining land in sustainable agriculture, strengthening the local economy, knowing your farmer and learning about organic gardening practices.
