About Us / Lower Valley Farmers Market History: Located in the Telephone Building on Highway 82 (301 E. 1st Street) in Wallowa, Oregon, directly across from Wallowa Food City. We offer a delightful array of local products: seasonal fruit and vegetables, locally grown grass-fed beef, pasture-raised chicken, pasture-raised chicken eggs and duck eggs, pickles, jams & jellies, salsa, soup mixes, seasonal wild food products (such as mushrooms), dried fruit, nuts, frozen fruit, and more!! We also have a wide variety of crafts: paintings, gift cards, knitted goods, crocheted clothing, doll clothing, wooden toys, ceramics, aprons, jewelry, soap, and wooden crafts. Our store also offers many gift giving and practical ideas from over 35 local vendors. We accept Debit cards and EBT cards. Stop in and see the hidden talents Wallowa has to offer. Our SNAP Match program allows people to spend money on their Oregon Trail (food stamps/SNAP) card and get up to $10 a week to spend on fresh fruits and vegetables at the market.
We work closely with the Community Garden and with the FFA (Future Farmers of America) program through Wallowa High School. We are working toward many other community service projects as we grow. We will be sponsoring meals for the Senior Meal Site in the near future. Our hope is to help boost our economy by encouraging the community to shop locally.
