About Us / Manka's Inverness Lodge and Restaurant History: An elegant old hunting lodge turned into whimsical hideaway, Manka's Inverness Lodge and Restaurant relies heavily upon local farmers to shape their seasonal menu. The large majority of what is served is grown and raised and caught within 30 minutes of Manka's. The daily changing menu highlights wild game, local fish, locally raised birds, rabbits, lamb, abalone, and oysters--plus organic greens, roots, fruits, and olives grown on the property. Foragers ferret out wild mushrooms and pick buckets of huckleberries for the restaurant. \n\nThursday through Sunday, Manka's serves a set menu of 5 to 7 small courses, composed entirely of local delicacies. Monday through Wednesday, Manka's reaches beyond Marin County for a more expansive menu. Dinner is served from 7 to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 4 to 10 p.m. on Sunday. \n\nDiners are also welcome to make reservations to stay overnight at Manka's which is made up of three properties. The main property is a small compound tucked into the hills of Inverness. Its centerpiece is a 1917 hunting and fishing lodge which houses our restaurant and four rustically elegant accommodations.\n\nOn the same grounds sit the annex, a wonderful collection of four side-by-side rooms, and two carefully appointed 1920's cabins: the fishing cabin and Manka's cabin.\n\nA second, very private property is tucked further into the hills. Two cabins rest on a ridge over looking the park. They are The Perch and the Cabin One-Two-Five. A third, particularly luxurious property sits over Tomales Bay. Older than the lodge, but more contemporary in feel, it is comprised of two units: the Boathouse and the Boatman's Quarters.
