About Us / Mill-King Market & Creamery History:
Our farm is in its 3rd generation. The current owners, Billy and Craig Miller, along with their wives began its current form of business in 2010. Originally, Billy’s parents Arnold and Minnie Miller, began milking cows in the 1940’s along with the cotton they grew in the Crawford, Texas area. Billy grew up helping on the farm, and in the late 1960's he a bought into the farm. In 1991 Billy moved his portion of the farm to its current location two miles down the road. In 1993, he and his wife Shorty built all new facilities and enlarged the dairy. They raised three children on the farm, and have farmed almost 1000 acres over the years. In 2004 their youngest son, Craig, returned from college with his wife, Rhianna. Soon after Craig and Rhianna bought their first cows and begin dairying along with Craig's parents. Although Rhianna lived and worked on the dairy farm she did not eat or drink any milk products because she was allergic-they triggered severe migraines. After a friend suggested Rhianna try drinking raw milk and a lot of research, the family discovered that Rhianna could drink raw milk with no migraines! And the same was true with low temperature pasteurized milk, cream, and cheese. With the dairy industry no longer being what it once was, the family decided they wanted to get their milk back out to the end consumer as REAL milk. In order to supply consumers with the closest thing to true farm fresh milk, the family started processing their own milk and Mill-King's old fashioned (Low Temperature Pasteurized non-homogenized) milk became the new future of Mill-King milk.
