About Us / Project Eats History: Project EATS is a community based urban farmsteading operation. Through the participation of Farmer's, community workers, youth education, and apprenticeships Project EATS has launched eight Farmsteads in seven New York City neighborhoods. The sites include: Brownsville (Amboy Garden Farm, Herzl Garden Farm), East New York (The Farm @Thomas Jefferson High School Campus), Brighton Beach (The Farm @ Kingsborough Community College), Cypress Hills Houses, Bronx Mott Haven Farmstead, Manhattan (Frederick Douglass Houses Farmstead), Wards Island Farmstead, West Harlem Farmstead. Former Project EATS sites like East New York Farmstead @ Franklin K. Lane High School and Manhattan's Edward R. Reynolds West Side High School have been converted from production farms into teaching gardens.
