About Us / Rogues' Harbor Inn, Restaurant & Brewing History: Our locally sourced, globally inspired restaurant opened in 1996 in a nineteenth century stage coach inn located just 10 minutes from downtown Ithaca & the Cornell University campus. We began with 100% New York State wine and slowly built up a list of local purveyors over the years so that nearly all of our dinner offerings now consist of at least one local component, most have several. In order to utilize as many locally sourced ingredients as possible we serve a globally inspired menu which includes everything from French onion soup to polenta & sundried tomato salad to Wagyu steak teriyaki.
In 2000 we opened the overnight guest rooms. All are recently renovated with a graceful blend of period antiques & modern conveniences. Rates include breakfast in our historic ballroom. In 2009 we were honored with a place on the National Register of historic places.
Most recently, in 2011 we expanded our local sourcing further by craft brewing our own ales in an out building on the property. We brew five ales: Cayuga Cream Ale, Route 34 Red Ale, East Shore Pale Ale, White Dog Wit & Brewer's Choice. All are poured nightly in our pub and weekends noon till 4 pm in our brew house tasting room.
We continue to push forward finding new local sources and expanding our globally inspired recipe repertoire. When we find a new local ingredient with a consistent supply we build a menu dish around it. Our dinner menu indicates which offerings contain locally sourced ingredients as well as offers suggested beer & wine pairings and dietary designations (vegetarian, vegan, GF).Locational sourcing is included for all our beer and wines offered also.
