About Us / Simple Food History: We will have milk again in March 2014! Please contact me to get on the waiting list and sign up for newsletters.We are an organic homestead with dairy goats, and open air-pollinated heirloom produce. Some of what we produce is listed below. We grow many additional edible items; such as medicinal herbs, wild flowers, flower bulbs several unlisted herbs and perennials, edible native plants/bushes/trees. Our goats are free range to graze/forage 24/7, supplement all organic alfalfa hay for increased milk production and winter feed, fresh clean water provided at all times, shelter, shade, all organic minimal grain (please ask for current mix as this changes often depending on what is available), fed at milking time for increased caloric intake, herbal wormer (so you can drink the milk), all holistic practices, kelp, goat minerals, all goats are named and are called by them, hand-milked twice daily, no hormones, chemical wormers, no antibiotics, no pesticides, no corn.We practice sustainable organic Permaculture, some biodynamic methods, companion planting and sustainability.We are open to giving homestead tours and samplings. You may even come out for some chores. Yes, you can feed my animals. Please bring all organic vegetable/fruit scraps, raisins, crackers or bread. Our dairy goats favor organic beet tops, apples bananas; they will even eat the peel.I provide fresh milk in glass, yogurt, cheeses, kefir drink/starter grains, and kombucha. First samples are free.For your fly-fishing, fashion and other craft projects -- beautiful, humanely-gathered feathers from our roosters and guineas! 25 feathers $12.95 or 10 feathers $6.95 If you need feathers for your craft or fashion projects, we offer a wide assortment of natural-color feathers from our roosters and guineas. Because we raise many different heritage breeds, we have rooster feathers in any natural color. Choose from red, iridescent black, or multi-color rooster feathers; the guinea feathers are lavender.We are a no-kill farm and do not harm our birds to obtain these feathers!
