About Us / Small Little Farm History: Small Little Farm is, as the name implies, a small place, a homestead farm, located in rolling Fauquier County just south of Warrenton and run by a retired Navy officer, who now works as a Naturalist, when not working the homestead. The farm works a variety of small endeavors. In addition to the small CSA, it has a few horses, mostly miniature size, in training for driving. Chickens of non-commercial and heritage breeds roam their pasture with their Great Pyrenees livestock guardian dog to produce eggs of all shell colors without having to worry about being eaten by foxes. Seasonally, visitors can hear the baa's of a few orphan lambs that are raised for flock owners, to later return to their home flocks. Peeps can also be heard from the heritage turkey poults and other poultry that are being raised for other farmers and will move to their permanent homes upon reaching pasturing age. There is also a friendly tail-wagging working herding dog, who believes humans were put on earth for the sole purpose of petting off duty herding dogs.
