About Us / Sweetwater Farms History: Kara Squires and Timothy produce amazing all organic food at Sweetwater Farm. They grow a salad mix with an assortment of greens, capable of growing it year round with some ingenuity. They built a hoop house with a unique heating system powered by two small solar panels. Within the structure they dug six feet deep laying a maze of piping and covering it with river rock. The rising hot air is trapped by the hoop house, then circulated in the piping deep below the plants, tricking up through the river rock, and warming their root systems and allowing them to grow even when snow is all around. Pretty incredible, and they are happy to talk to any one about the system! They also sell cherry tomatoes, cooking greens, berries and a large variety of garlic. They sit high on Bruffy’s Creek and enjoy state park land all around them.Sweetwater sells their produce to several Lewisburg area restaurants, at the Lewisburg Farmers Market and off the farm.
