About Us / Terhune Orchards (NJ) History: Gary and Pam Mount bought Terhune Orchards in 1975. The farm was 55 acres of apple and peach trees with a few pears thrown in. The Terhune family had owned the farm for two generations. Today, Terhune Orchards grows over 35 crops on 185 acres. About half the farm is devoted to orchards. We grow about 30 varieties of apples, 28 varieties of peaches and 7 varieties of pears. (Info from their website)Terhune Orchards is a family run business, with Pam and Gary's daughter Tannwen as a full time employee. They pride themselves on providing a farm for the local community to experience and enjoy. You can pick your own fruits or buy them at their farm store. New this summer, Terhune welcomes children between 8-12 for an educational week of summer gardening camp. The emphasis of Terhune Orchards is community and education through the farming experience.
