About Us / Three Dog Nursery History: Paul has been in the horticulture industry his entire life. Growing up on a produce farm, also growing annuals and perennials, livestock and farmed large crops himself. They sold to Eastern Mkt. for many years and also started retailing from a produce stand. We currently have a small farm in Hamburg growing a large variety of Hosta's and assorted perennials. We have a large vegetable garden, you name it, pretty much we grow it! We've been told Paul grows the best sweet corn around as well as his potatoes! We grow several varieties of paste, salad and slicing tomatoes. We also enjoy a nice assortment of peppers for our salsa's, marinara and garden vegetable sauce, and last of all Paul's famous chili and hungarian stew. We can and freeze as much as possible to enjoy garden quality food year around. In the fall we love to have people over for a night of chile by the bonfire(we have so much brush and debris from old falling trees it's usually a huge one)having fun and maybe roasting a marshmellow or two.We have recently added chickens for eggs to our little farm, Light Bramas and Buff Orpingtons. The eggs are delish!! We currently sell perennials and Hostas to some local Michigan retail nuseries, and much of our business is in landscaping, design and installation. We are not a retail outlet so we request people shop by appointment or call in orders. It seems to work out well for everyone as we get to spend one on one time with our customers, answering questions and meeting future needs without interuption. Paul and I are celebrating cominng up on 25 years of marriage and working together! So give us a call if you think we can meet any of your gardening or fresh produce needs! Thanks Gayle Raney.
