Definition:

Enhancing the ability of individuals, organizations or communities to address their own long-term needs.

Example of Capacity Building:

Investing in environmental education may help a community in the future as it helps to build the community’s capacity when struck with unpredictable natural disasters. Thus, education is part of capacity building program in a community.
