Certified Humane

Definition:

The Certified Humane Raised & Handled Label is a consumer certification and labeling program. When you see the Certified Humane Raised & Handled label it means that an egg, dairy, meat or poultry product has been produced with the welfare of the farm animal in mind. The publicity of animal cruelty in the media have raised people’s attention towards factory cattle farming practices that supplies the world market. When a meat product is certified humane, it shows that the producers are committed in raising the cattle humanely according to standards.
