Living the vegan lifestyle means one adheres to a strict diet which does not include animal products or bi-products. To live this lifestyle one must figure ways to get all the required nutrients without using a majority of the products non vegans use.
One example of this is using quinoa as a form of protein, while others can include coconut milk for real milk and bananas in replacement for eggs. There’s a misconception that a vegan diet is also an expensive one, but I don’t think that has to be the case at all!
